Privacy in the beta.

This notice describes the Makaan TestFlight beta operated by Muhammad Ayaan Farooq. These are temporary beta operator and support details.

Information used by the app

Account features use your email and profile details. Saved properties, searches, preferences and recent views are stored for your account. Enquiries and messages are shared with the participants. Reports are available to the people moderating Makaan.

Agent features use profile, agency, contact and licence fields, listing details and selected images. Published listing and verified profile information is visible to people browsing Makaan.

Location and photos

Foreground location is used when you choose nearby property discovery or recenter the map. The app does not request background location. Photos you select for a listing or agent profile are uploaded for that feature.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication, database and media storage. Mapbox provides maps. Its mobile SDK may process approximate and precise location, identifiers, app interactions, usage and diagnostic information for functionality and analytics. The map’s attribution control provides Mapbox telemetry choices. Apple provides TestFlight distribution and related beta feedback. This website is hosted on Vercel. Those services may process technical information needed to provide their features.

Your information and requests

Account data persists between sessions. You can change profile details and remove saved items in the app. For questions about access, correction, account removal or other privacy matters, contact support@ayaaan.com. Please do not email passwords or sign-in codes.

Account deletion

You can request account deletion in Makaan. This removes your profile, preferences, saved and recently viewed activity, saved locations and uploaded media. Agent listings are archived; agent name, contact, photo and licensing fields are removed. Shared agency facts and de-identified listing, verification and moderation records remain for counterpart references.

Your consumer-owned enquiry threads, including both sides’ messages, are deleted. Messages you authored as an agent are removed from other consumers’ threads; their messages remain and those threads close. Content independently written by other users is not searched for mentions of you.

A private record containing your account ID and deletion start time remains to block still-valid sign-in tokens. No fixed retention period is specified for retained records. Deletion may complete in stages; if completion cannot be confirmed, retry or contact support. This policy does not promise backup erasure or removal of another person’s records.

This notice will need updating when the final operator, services or data practices change.
